Hi guys,
we have TREX with our Netweaver Portal (2004s). We have also a lot of filesystems, webservers and a third-party cms (FirstSpirit). Is it possible to let the TREX index the whole stuff and let the CMS (or own web-app) call for searchresult via webservice?
A nice approach will be to retrieve the results in a xml-list after calling a webserice. I've not found a webservice-function for trex, only a KM-API to develop something for the portal that use the TREX-Index.
Can anyone give me some tipps?
Thanks,
Sergej
Hi Sergej,
in the Portal environment, you will have to live with the KM APIs. There are no direct TREX APIs released for project development.
In SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search 7.2 (separate product) we offer OpenSearch (REST) APIs for consumer and provider. Here you can get a result return that is basically RSS. Please check [www.opensearch.org|http://www.opensearch.org] for the details.
Best, Karsten
