Hi,
Hi experts,
I need to create a purchasing cube containing data at PO level.
The data that client is after is coming from following datasources:
2LIS_02_CGR
2LIS_02_ACC
2LIS_02_SGR
I need to build cube bringing data from above datasources.
Now what should be my approach for data model?
If we don't have any standard cubes containing the line item, should I use the standard DSO as my first layer and build my own cube on top of it?
Should it be 1 DSO 1 Cube and 1 Multiprovider?
There is not any specific requirements from client in terms of reporting they just want the line item purchasing data in cube.
Please advice,
Thanks,
Sajjad.
Hi,
You can load 3 data source to one target using with infosource otherwise you can load it different data target and build you multiprovider and do the reporting.

Thanks for all valuable sugessions.
I might be using the thee BI content DSO and my own cubes on each DSO and a multi provider combining all thee cubes.

Hi,
Suggestion
Instead of loading to a single cube try 3 different cubes and combine them in a multi provider. If you need to go for a single cube better you can use Info Source to get data from multiple source to single target loading. You will be getting item level information from 2lis_02_itm.

Hi sajid
if the client is Interesed in line item data then you should be looking at using 2lis_02_itm.
I would propose separate dso and cube for each datasource.
Thanks

Hi
Why don't use Info source..?
Load the data from 3 datasources to Info source.
from here laod the required fields to DSO using transformations.
Then build CUBE upon this DSO.
Just my suggestion
Hope this helps

Venkatesh

Hi Sajjad,
I would suggest creating 3 DSO from 3 datasources( 1 for each Datasource) and 1 cube for 3 DSO's and 1 MP for 1 cube. This would be my approach,If not Please confirm how you have created.
