Merging Excel data with Universe data and simulating kindof Outer Join

Hi All,

Could you please help me achieve following scenario..

DP: Excel: Contains the following Tables: KT, BB, CC, DD, EE

DP: Universe: Contains the following tables: BB, CC, DD, EE, Measure1, Measure2

Expected Output:

KT, BB CC, DD, EE, Measure1, Measure2
OR KT, Meansure1, Measure 2 (summed up measure in this level)

Conditions:

1. KT is weakly related with BB, and may have one-to-many/ many-to-one relations.
2. Excel DP columns: BB, CC, DD, EE may/ may not contain data for KT

Tried following:

• Created merged dim for all related dims.
• Created Detailed, KT_D for KT with associated dim as BB.

Why above didn't work:

Multivalue because a value from BB matched with 2 values in KT in Excel DP. No way to get rid of mutivalue when measure aggregation is required in the calculation context. Also, the context operators don't work in the above table (I guess) due to weak relationships.

Please note: I am still understanding the requirements and yet to recieve more information. I will udpate this qq as per the same. Meanwhile, I would love to begin discussion and check if I have more options.
