Licence required for nwBPM after upgrading from SAP PI 7.4 dual stack to SAP PI 7.5 dual usage

Dear Experts,

We plan an upgrade of our SAP PI dual stack 7.4 to the a SAP PI 7.5 dual usage.

We want to rewrite some of our ccBPM to nwBPM.

Is there any restrictions developping nwBPM with our PI 7.4 licence?

In other words, do we need to buy another licence than our PI licence if we want to develop nwBPM?

Thanks.

Regards.

My question is : are we allowed to develop BPMN without buying a new PI licence? Yes

Hi Mohammed ,

You asked a question. Don't forget to mark the answer that helped you most as correct. Thanks! For the readers, before you leave, don't forget to up/down vote the answers. You can vote on the question too.

If you have already and "Advanced Adapter Engine Extended" installation, you can upgrade it to PO and the installation, this contains the installation of PI, BPM and BRM too.

Thanks. Sankar

Hi Mohamed

Unlike traditional CCBPM, NWBPM is not a part of PI anymore. But it is now a separate module of Netweaver. And that is why we call it Netweaver BPM. We can develop a CCBPM from Integration repository. But coming to NWBPM, we do all development part in Netweaver Developer Studio and then deploy it to server. We can use CCBPMs only in dual stack PI. Coming to Single stack PI systems, we use NWBPMs.

"You do not require a separate license key for your standalone SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. You require a license key if you have installed a J2EE Engine in addition to SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio"

Hi Sankar

We are still paying a licence for our SAP PI7.4 dual stack.

ccBPM are still supported by PI 7.5 dual usage and we will choose this option.

My question is : are we allowed to develop BPMN without buying a new PI licence?

Thanks.
