I am trying to find a way to control the Release changes in Solution Documentation through a batch job with variants to select the different options rather than manually running it through SOLDOC. Has anyone encountered this kind of scenario?

Hello, no in the standard SAP System there is no such an option, since you should always know what you release into other branches. Additionally it would cause inconsistency if there are conflicts between the branches.
