Is SAP HANA DB a pre-requisite for SAP Fiori Front-End Server 2023 for S/4HANA?

Dear SAP,

We planned an upgrade for S/4HANA LANDSCAPE with Hub deployment landscape. We have doubt about pre-requisites for frontend server, the installation guide for 2023 SAP FRONT END SERVER inform that We can use MAXDB, HANA and SYBASE in Hub deployment for Frontend Server but SAP Note 3340880 inform that We need a SAP HANA DB for run 2023 frontend, could you clarify?

SAP HANA DB is required as database for SAP Front-End System 2023 for S/4HANA - also on the standalone/hub front-end server
