Receiving intermittent errors when printing a Crystal Report Version 2020 with Sage 100c 2023 SOTAMAS 90 database. Error reads Failed to retrieve data from database. Database connection Error: 'S00000:[ProvideX][ODBC driver]Internal Error

[Database Vendor Code: 1019]'. We have tested the ODBC connection and it is reading the Tables.

Hi Walter,

Sage is/was an OEM partner, since it is their ODBC client you have to check with them to debug the problem.

As of CR 9 SAP stopped "coding in bug fixes" in the drivers, to costly to maintain their bug fixes, if there is an issue they need to fix it, or prove it's a CR problem.

Ido, SAP doesn't list OEM partner DB clients supported since the OEM Partner is responsible for supporting them

Please check the supported platform document here:
https://assets.cdn.sap.com/tools/sap-cr-2020-supported-platforms-windows.zip
to see if your driver is supported.

Also, that error code was returned from your data source (it is not a Crystal error code). So research what it means in the context of your DBMS.

The Sage 100c Version 2023 is installed as a 64-bit and they do have the 64-bit ODBC Driver installed. The thing is it will run some of the time, but there are other times where they get the message above.

Crystal 2020 is 64-bit, so it requires a 64-bit ODBC DSN and a 64-bit ODBC driver.
Most likely, you have access only to a 32-bit driver. If so, downgrade to Crystal 2016.
