Infoset and multicubes

Is it true that Infoset is join and multicube in union?

HI,

of course multi cube works with union property and info set works with intersection property if u want we can change that to LEFT OUTER JOIN that is UNION.

Dear Che GueVera,

Multi Provider is a union of all the objects underlying it.

whereas

Info Set is a Join of all the Data targets.

morever

Multi Provider can be built on all Info Providers.

whereas

Info Set can be built only on Data Targets(Info cube,DSO,Info Object only)

Ya Multicube is union of all the objects of the target which we mentioned while creating the multiprovider and where as Infoset satisfies the join condition.
