'Incorrect syntax near keyword CONVERT'

We are in the process of upgrading our Crystal Report 10.0 version to Crystal Report 2016 and running into following roadblock.

'Incorrect syntax near keyword CONVERT'

We are executing this report using Microsoft OLE DB Provider and SQL Native Client 11.0 drivers and they both are throwing the same ‘'Incorrect syntax near keyword CONVERT' error from app which is built using RDC model of Crystal 10.0 version.

Could you let us know our options to resolve this issue? We will really appreciate your help. We need this to certify our product for TLS 1.2.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sanjay,

Did you or one of your colleges log in incident for this update issue?

Incident 63092 / 2020 / Converting reports to use msoledbsql driver

Thank you

CR 10 reports will not work with SQL Native 11 client and MS OLE DB Provider does not support TLS 1.2.

You need to upgrade to the latest version of CR 2016 and then use Native 11 client.

I found using ODBC to test if TLS 1.2 works is the best way, if it works there then CR will work.
