Hi RP,

No attachment is there ?

Credentials is only required to access the repository data to design the dashboard, its not mandatory. Still you can import the excel data and still you can design the dashboard.

Please revert for more clarifications!!!

Thanks for ur reply Suman. Sorry i could not attach my document as bcoz the format was not available to me.

If not much can u please explain me what exactly u mean by repository data in this context. r u talking of the R/3 architecture or the BW or the SAP Netweaver data.

One more thing, the excel file which u r telling to import, where can i find such more excel files to export into the tool to practice more, i have already practiced the sample dashboards which are present in the file menu of the the xcelsius tool. Can u plz share some new excel files with me to practice more dashboards.

Hi RP,

Repository meant to be server here in SAP BO, representing all reports or universe.resides. From there you can access the data. By calling the webi or crystal reports inside the dashboards.

Dummy excel doesn't need to be more specific about anything. you can just export some data from ECC table(SE16 or SE11) like billing item, order item and etc., format the data according to your need then you can import them into the dashboards for test development. Make sure you deal with meaningful data so it makes sense in drill down.

Hope this helps!!!
