How to trigger a REST Mashup?

Is there any instruction or do you know how to invoke custom REST mashup? I managed to add REST mushup, but I do not know how to call it through the action on the button, e.g. on the QA screen, which will trigger the action of sending a GET/POST query with a parameter from the selected field, and then, based on the returned data, it completed other fields on this screen. I need this solution to be able to verify the entered data in the form with an external REST api.
