How to Replicate Material DATA from SAP R/3 to SAP-BW by using data from tables(mara,vbrk,vbrp)

Hi experts,

I have got a requirement of have the report for sales value and quantity material group wise across the region.

Input given from client-

In MARA Table we will consider 1)MATERIAL GROUP 2)MATERIAL TYPE 3)MATERIAL NUMBER.

In VBRP table -1) MATERIAL NUMBER 2) INVOICED NUMBER 3)  REGION DELIVERY PLANT.

And from VBRK table - NET value in Statistics currency.

so from where I can start my work ,till now I am thinking to follow these steps please let me know its right or not /suggest me now to start this issue

1)go to R/3 Side and tcode  rsa5 ------>you will get 0material_attr, 0material_text and some hierarchy ..

2)Activate these data sources...

3)Goto BW side transaction RSA1-->replicate the data sources....

4)Go to Business content tab of the RSA1-->take grouping as 'in data flow before'

and select object type as info object in the left pane,find for 0material object.

drag and drop to right pane...click on install...

5)Now your 3 data sources(0material_attr and 0material_text and hierarchy will be assigned to 0material).

6).now you can create infopackage and load data(it is master data only)...

If you want to load transactional data,

first of all you need to find out the cube and data sources to be loaded...once you find out your data sources,do same as above in r/3 side..and bw side take your required infocube as same as above...

If you want to get data specifically from mara table,Create a generic data source on table mara...

RSO2-->data source type transactional>give name and then click on create-->give description and application component to which this belongs to and give the name of the table(mara in table field) and then click on save...your generic data source is ready...go to rsa6 and there you can choose required fields for selection..

Then go to bw create infosource,cube and assign all these and load data...

try IO 0matl_grp and datasource 0material_group_text/attr

Hi jay,

just now I checked in ecc I  don't have data source (0material_attr/0material_text.)

but I have( 2lis_13_vdhdr/vditm) datasource.

1)Do I have to create view for enhancing( 0material_attr/0material_text.)data source ,if yes then how can i do that using 3 tables 1) MARA 2)VBRK 3) VBRP ?

Please guide me .

check in RSA5 for 0material, u would have available them in RSA5

Are you checking RSA5 in the SOURCE SYSTEM, because that's where your datasource will be (not BW)?

(btw, if you're making that mistake, i feel you should not be handling this requirement from the client....)

hi all,

for DATA SOURCE  0material_attr I executed IP.....>DTP.....>

To get VBRK/VBRP information activate transactional datasources 2lis_13_vdhdr/vditm and form data fow in Bw .how can I  do this part and at final report how can I get three tables data ,(MARA,VBRK,VBRP)?.

please some one guide me further .

1.Identify the required filed from 2lis_13_vahdr and VDITM.

2.Create infoobjects in BW for identified fields.

3.Create 2 separate cubes , 1 for Hdr and 2nd for Item datasource.

4.Now u have 3 infoproviders, 1 Hdr, 2 Itm, 3 material.

5.Combine all 3 infoproviders using Multiprovider and do reporting.
