How to get "full control" on columns design in a SAP Analytics cloud table ?

Hello.

I'm trying to build a table in a planning story with the below requirement for columns sequence :

  VersionActual            Actual Forecast Forecast
  MeasureGranted
amount
Consumed           ConsumedRemainingConsumed Consumed
  Date202320230120230220230320230420230520230620230720230820230920231020231120231220232023202401---> 202412
ProjectAccounts
ABCD65000000 10 000 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 000100 0001 200 0008 800 000120 000 120 000
 66000000

EFGH65000000
 66000000

I'm exploring what can be done with cross calculation with mitigated success so far.

Would be great to find a way to be able to manage entirely each column independantly, because the table is not "symetric", and granularity is not constant ...

The first measure "granted amount" is used only in first column of data.

All actuals columns are coming from an S/4 Import connection.

If i just drag and drop version / date / measures in columns I get a neverending list of all possible combinations between those 2 dimensions and measures.

Is there a way to force measure to behave like a dimension ?

There is several versions of forecast, driven by an input control in the story. And there is a period filter that should be used to offset all date selection.

The goal is also that forecast (version) columns are dynamic and actuals columns always stay actuals of course.

Thanks in advance for your advices.

(EDIT : picture of the table added, maybe more readable ... green is actual, yellow is plan)

Regards.

The table widget is kind of left out in terms of innovation. The only options you currently have are below and non of them are flexible.

  • SAC Forecast layout in Table
  • Copying Actual Data in Forecast version when period becomes Actual. Periodic data copy required but this is the method which works best.
  • Advance Filtering.

None of the above give you full layout control.

Thank you very much Nikhil. Once again I was more or less waiting a confirmation that the table widget is full of limitations more than a real solution. In BPC managing this kind of need takes around 5 minutes using dimensions selection, formulas on EPMOlapMembers (and everything stays dynamic according to selection). Have a nice day and thanks again for helping. Rgds. Guillaume P.
