Hi
In BW DEV :
DataSource 0CO_OM_CCA_1 loaded No. of records are 16 millions.
And 0CO_OM_CCA_1 contains on tables COSP and COSS but total no. of records in both tables are 0.2 millions.
How to find estimated No. of records of DS 0CO_OM_CCA_1 load in BW Production?
Thanks
Hi Imran,
Dont go with just the entries in COSP and COSS because in these table values are not stored period wise. The value column in this table are representing individual periods of an year whereas 0CO_OM_CCA_1 has the period already derived in it.
For eg one entry in COSP will have 12 (period starting from 001 - 012) entries in 0CO_OM_CCA_1 for one value type alone. Also COSS, COPS can have value types like plan, actual , commitment.

Hi Gajesh
Let suppose periods are 12 so according to your explanation
0.2m*12=24million entries but actually 16million entries in PSA of BW DEV
Let suppose periods are 16
0.2m*16=32million entries but actually 16million entries in PSA of BW DEV
so, what is missing in your formula??
In ECC PRD we have 13million total entries in COSP & COSS so we need to estimated entries of PSA of BW PRD.
Thanks
no idea. Why can't you just run the infopackage in production?

ok, your talking about development system..; you should be more detailed in your post. Did the 16 million records in the PSA come from an extraction or maybe a system copy or so? maybe multiple extractions?

check out this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ae/8876724e671341a91ff3ba711bacd0/content.htm.
And 0.2 million lines in COSS and COSP seems very small to me. Depending on the size of the company, time sysem is in use, etc, you should rather have 10 of millions of lines...
