How to debug the incident-management app [Tutorial]

I have been following the tutorial incident-management and came across the deployment process as described here https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/deploy-to-cf.html

At the end it is mentioned, that one will not be authenticated when opening the app from the CAP start page due to missing JSON Web Token. In order to start and use the app, one needs the Work Zone. I implemented the work zone and finished the tutorial. Everything works as it should when opening the app from the work zone.

Now I want to debug this app. However, when debugging I cannot open the app from the CAP start page due to the aforementioned missing JSON Web Token [there is the expected 403 error]. How would one go about debugging this app?
