- As you know there are two models for Quality Inspection in Ariba quality inspection collaboration. The first one is Quality Inspection Before Ship Notice where Buyer creates the Inspection Lot manually after the Purchase Order is created but before the Supplier sends the Ship Notice. The second model for Quality Inspection is Quality Inspection after Ship Notice where the Inspection Lot is created automatically after the Supplier sends the Ship Notice and the Goods Receipt is generated by the Buyer.
If we want to implement Quality Inspection Before Ship Notice process. could you pls. guide us what kind of configurations do we need to do except below configuration points? why I ask this question, because I'm think about that if we don't need to maintain inspection plan and inspection specifications in S4？ as you known, the inspection lot is created by manually. thus, I need you to guide me which configurations are mandatory to implement this process. Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated, many thanks in advances.
1. Maintain the transactions rules as true:
- Transaction Rule 1: Allow suppliers to send ship notices only after receiving acceptance of inspection.
- Transaction Rule 2: Require suppliers to provide a quality certificate to ship notices.
2. Maintaining Event linkages for quality inspection requests.
3. Maintaining event linkage for quality inspection decision requests.
