How to change the name of the existing iview in the enterprise portal and transport the chnages to QAS and production

Hi Experts,

I am very new to entreprise portal.I am required to change the name of the existing iviews and transport the changes to QAS.I have changed the name of the IVIEW by using change id but these changes are not reflected in my portal page.

Kindly anyone advise how to change the name of the IVIEW and the changes to be done to the roles,pages and workset.Please also advise how to transport the chages to QAS.

Hi,

When changing the ID or name of the PCD contents please take care of below things.

Right click on your Iview --> Select Change ID. Click on Next and change below properties

New Object Name

New Object ID

Once changed, click finish.

Now Check in the desired page(You can also keep the same name for your page as in your IView) where you have added that IView, whether the new name is shown or not.

You can also check this in your sandbox portal / Dev portal before moving your changes to QA.

Hi,

Make sure you have the iView with Delta Link to other pcd object like Role or Page.

If it is Delta link then it should reflect in respective Role or Page, If it is Copy then it will reflect only in the iView not for all dependent PCD object.

Just change the *New Object name after clicking on Change id it should work.
