Hi Experts,

I have a query on how we can change the Database connection Password for the BI reports. I have almost 50 reports and the password is going to expire soon, its very difficult to change the password manually for each reports. Can anyone tell me how we can change the password for all reports in one go. Iam using Central Management Version (CMC) 14.3 and BI Next Generation Launchpad Version 14.3. If there is a solution for this please do let me know the steps i can follow? Also from where we can do this _ from Central Management Console(CMC) or BI Next Generation Launch Pad.

CMC VERSION- 14.3

BI Next Generation Launchpad- 14.3

Waiting for any prompt reply.

Thanks,

Shiny

Noel's answer works if you're using Webi or Crystal for Enterprise for your reports and connecting through a Universe or a Connection in the system. It doesn't work for "classic" Crystal reports that have their own connection to the database.

I'm not sure that the Schedule Manager mentioned in Neraj's answer exists for newer versions of BOBJ because the Admin Tools link takes you to Query Builder instead of to the old Admin Tools screen.

If you're using classic Crystal, you'll either need to look at a third-party tool just as APOS or Wiiisdom, or write code using either the .NET or the Java SDK that will go through the reports and update the password.

Do you have access to the Information Design Tool or its predecessor, the Universe Design Tool? You can change the connection password there.
