Hello All,
We need to add multiple Hardware and Software 3rd party or non-sap systems in our Configuration Item for SAP ITSM. Can someone please suggest a way to achieve this apart from IT Infrastructure Management?
Hello Shavan,
if you are looking for a standard solution: in the past there was SAP ITIM: IT Infrastructure Management. It was basically a CMDB based on REALTECHs theGuard!. This solution is not covered by SAPs maintenance anymore so the only way is to use the corresponding CRM component within SAP Solution Manager (as mentioned by Vignesh: thru the CMDB).
Kind regards
Tim

Hallo Chavan,
there are different ways to do this.
The most elegant (because of the use of a real CMDB) is: Managing IT Components with SAP IT Infrastructure Management - here you will find the official documentation:
Here I have prepared a very old (but it is useful - I have realised this for customers in the last 3 years) SAP infomation, strategy paper.
With this you'll have a harmonized masterdata repository for all IT-components (printers, network, ..) - the foundation of all IT Servicemanagement tasks and ITSM processes. Much cheaper than others 🙂

Hello phanic9,
You need to add iBase component for the 3rd party or non-SAP systems manually in your Solution Manager system.
Please read and follow the steps mentioned in this SAP wiki, even though it is mentioned as SolMan 7.1, the steps remain the same.
