How can I connect to SAP HANA Cloud Platform Cockpit DB MDC in .Net?

Hi All,

I've a trial account on SAP HANA Cloud Platform.

I've created a new MDC database. I've set a password but I don't understand which is the userName that I've to use to connect to the database.

Moreover, in some .net examples that I found (https://blogs.sap.com/2015/04/15/creating-a-c-application-using-sap-hana-and-adonet/), it seems that the data in the connection string are referenced to a local istance of a SAP HANA database.

I've downloaded the Sap.Hana.Data dlls but I don't know which data I've to set in the connection string parameter since I couldn't found any documentation related to this argument (for .net obviously).

Just to understand better I would reiterate what you are trying to do - you have a .net application on-premise or in your network that want to read data from MDC on HCP.

Since MDC is in the cloud you would need to have cloud connector working in your network and then use db tunnel to talk with MDC on the cloud. Please follow this HANA Academy video which shows something similar - accessing HANA@HCP using ODBC
