I've implemented some dashboards (old xcelcius) using the biws, or qaaws functionality. Using latest version of stack. So there's a webi document that is scheduled to run and the dashboard retrieves data block set up as a webservice from its most recent instance. Data coming from universe with folder security set up. And when I publish this to prod it works flawless for me, but I have full control and access in the system.
Other users get error messages saying they can't modify documents when the web services are loaded. I believe this is the case because I use the drop downs and drills in the UI that filter the QAAWS reporting blocks and I think these users don't have correct permissions in the CMC for QAAWS or WEBI to enable their dashboard experience..
What combinations permissions do these users need? I've read that I need to modify the QAAWS permissions to modify or edit query...stuff like that. What about the scheduled instance of the webi document? what permissions do users of the dashboard need in webi to interact with the biws contained in the webi docs feeding the dashboard?
My Bobj admins can't figure it out and I'm not an admin. Can somebody help me by providing all the permissions that need to be set and what permissions they need to view and interact with these dashboards. Just to modify predefined filters and not actually change the files themselves.. what permissions do they need?
