Field-based aDSO not being consumed in CompositeProvider

Hi Gurus,

I have stumbled on a block here. I have developed a couple of field-based aDSOs which I need to join using a CompositeProvider. However, when I am trying to do the same in HANA Studio, I am not being able to find the aDSOs in the Join window of the CompositeProvider.

This is being possible by using the aDSO as a SAP HANA view (by clicking the External SAP HANA View), but not as an InfoProvider.

Just curious to know if this is possible in BWonHANA (BW 7.5) and if yes, what am I missing here? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Sayan,

If you just go to the help overview of your provider, you can check under composite provider, what are the prerequisites for its subproviders to be consumed.

Below is the screenshot from HANA studio BW modelling tools.

Please check the highlighted area in screenshot if your ADSO qualifies for these settings on individual or combined level.

Please be aware that not all types of ADSOs are available for the reporting. Stadard DSO type are the most commong type which is used for reporting. But you cannot consume DSOs of Staging type unless Reporting-Enabled option is selected.

What is the type of ADSO which you are trying to use in HCPR?
