Extraction issue in BW

Hello, I have a question about extration in 7.3 system. i have a dso and i am loading it from ecc, there are some fields that i am looking in another dso and populating those in my original dso. the problem i have noticed is that if the dso that i am looking in to does not have the records, my load would fail. i am utilizing the new functionality of 7.3 that sap has provided so no need to write look up code. please tell me if i need to check some setting some where so that if the dso does not have the value it won't fail my load. thanks.

Hi,

While defining the rule there is a setting which needs to be choose when the record is not found.

You will find that setting inside the rule--There will be a button to the right of Infobject from dso field.

Click on it--It will have two radio buttons--Either enter some error message or constant value in case when the record is not found.

Check in the settings how it shall behave on error and transfer the empty constant instead of the error message and your issue should be solved.
