Dear Team,

I facing problem in ehp4 upgradation. I run SL controler then access from http://ip:4239.

When ehp4 in PREP_INIT/CHECKPROF_INI for CHECK SYSTEM PROFILE FOR PROBLEM System show on windows MANUAL ACTION REQUIRED in this window showing this msg :

The value of one or more database (manager) configuration parameters has to be changed As user db2kjq issue the following statements on the database server:

Db2 connect to SID

Db2 attach to db2SID

Db2 update dbm cfg using kEEPFENCED YES

Db2 terminate

Please make sure that database SID is restarted via db2stop and db2start before starting SAPehpi the settings to become effective after the restart the database has to be activated vie db2 activate database SID

and out put of -

These are the parameters required by upgrade. So you should set the parameters and restart the database as guided by upgrade screen.

more detail then:

update parameter as suggested by using:

login as db2kjq on database

b2 connect to KJQ

Db2 attach to db2kjq

Db2 update dbm cfg using kEEPFENCED YES

Db2 terminate

after that restart database by using db2stop and db2start.

before start ehpi again enter this command

db2 activate database KJQ

Hello Sanjeev,

What is the problem, are you not able to run that db2 update dbm cfg command to update the parameter KEEPFENCED to YES ?
