Delta Mechanism for new GL ledger line item data source 0FI_GL_14

Hi Gurus,

As we know, for old 0FI_GL_4, we need to configure the table BWOM_SETTINGS . For the minutes based data extraction, we need to set BWFINEXT = ‘X’, it will change the data load frequency from once a day to several times a day.

For 0FI_GL_4, table BWOM2_TIMEST is used to set the last delta load timestamp. Also table BWFI_AEDAT is used to store changed FI documents.

Newly created FI documents will be extracted to BW based on BKPF-CPUDT( Entry Date). And Change records will based on log table BWFI_AEDAT.

But I am not sure if 0FI_GL_14 uses the same delta mechanism as 0FI_GL_4 does .

Now let’s talk about my client's data load with 0FI_GL_14 . Below screenshots are from the client's system.

The client basically runs data load every 1 – 2 hours. It uses so called minutes based extraction. But I cannot see the field BWFINEXT = ‘X’ in table BWOM_SETTINGS and table BWOM2_TIMEST seems not used.

So does this mean that new GL ledger 0FL_GL_14 uses different delta mechanism ? What is it ?

Could you please detail the delta mechanism of 0FI_GL_14 ? I checked SAP knowledge base for 0FI_GL_14 , but cannot find the information I need.

For New GL Data Sources 0FI_GL_14 , Please check safety interval from ROOSOURCE table and last delta time stamp from ROOSGENDLM table. For New GL data sources safety limit (UL and LL) set to 3600 seconds by default. There won't be any additional setting for minute based extraction as old GL datasource here.

Please see this blog and KBA for more information,

Hope it helps!
