A customer wants to take a crystal report (few hundred pages long), and have it burst into separate .pdf documents by customer number or name or a selected field. Client has used CR 2011 and CR 2016 at previous jobs and at one company there was some software installed which let them do this. Now, client is planning to get CR 2020 at the new job, and wants to make sure this can be done with Crystal Reports and/or Crystal Server. .
If there is a 3rd party software that integrates well with Crystal reports, they would gladly take the recommendation.
Crystal Reports Server will also support this through "Publications". You have to be careful when purchasing licenses, though, because there is a limit to the number of recipients with some license types.

Thanks a lot. I found instructions as well. I think I just need to find what they need for licensing.

Yes, several of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports tools listed here can do this.
The list indicates which ones support bursting, though the speed and flexibility of the bursting functionality can differ significantly across these tools.
