IBP Changing Month (Fiscal Month) in Time profile, will I lose saved values

Hi gurus

We use a fiscal calendar and the end of the Fiscal Month not always coincide with the normal month calendar (Gregorian calendar). I need to make changes to the month and upload the amended time profile in IBP. All editable key Figures (e.g. consensus demand, manual adjusted plan orders, etc.) are set up at the week planning level. As I'm not changing the weeks, nor the technical weeks would I lose any data in the system by changing the month??

Yes, you are at risk of losing the data as the start date of every period changes.

I would propose you to take back up (manual or Copy operators) and restore it after the change. It applies both for editable and non-editable Key Figures.

1.If you have Planning area "A" then create a copy of it as "B".

2.manually or using copy operator , copy all the Key figures

3. Accomplish your time profile change in Planning Area "A"

4. Manually copy all the relevant Key figures from Planning area "B"

Such changes are big changes and should be cautious in every step and risk is huge.
