Change the destination storage Bin when create or confirm the TO reference PCN

Hi experts,

Here is the scenario of my question:

1. Two storage location A and B in one plant, assigned to one Warehouse number. There are two storage type 001 and 002 in the Whn.

2. IM 311 transfer material from A to B, trigger a posting change note.

3. LT05 create TO reference the PCN. Input the source storage type and storage bin.

4.LT12 confirm the TO, can not change the destinatin storage type and storage bin, they are exectly as same as source storage type and storage bin.

My question is: When I do the stock transfer from A to B, the real objects move from 'storage type 001/Bin A1-01-01' to 'storage type 002/Bin B1-01-01'. Which step and how could I change the destinatin storage type and storage bin? Or I miss some configuration? Or some enhancement must be implemented?

Hi,

a: ever checked the flag "Post to same bin" in the warehouse movement type? This flag controls that for a transfer order created for a posting change the destination bin is the same as the source bin. So if this flag is not set during the creation of the transfer order the system will search for another destination bin. Then you just have to check what the system will find and see how you work from there. Or manually select the destination bin when creating the transfer order.

b: there is a setting in customizing where you can set if during the confirmation the bin can be changed. Now it is a long time that I did something in WM, but it should work for this case as well.

Sorry for the wrong tag, that's my mistake.

The flag "Post to same bin" in the warehouse movement type 309 is not set.

When I create transfer order reference the posting change note, sysytem only allow to input the source storage type and source bin.

Destination storage type and bin could not be changed when transfer order confirming.

I also check the configuration you mentioned, but it dees not work. OSS note 443916 - Dest. storage bin cannot always be changed during conf. including the posting change transfer order.

So, the key point of my question is IM-311stock transfer from WM-storage location to WM-storage location(both of them in one warehouse) only trigger posting change(only status or nature changed, but no physical position), could not trigger two transfer requirements if the real objects been moved from one bin to annother.

Hi Jurgen,

I know I'm asking this question in WM page rather than EWM page. But I'm facing the issue in EWM now.

311 calling 309 reference movement and so DTR delivery type. When DTR delivery distributed to EWM it picks up 4010 process type. 4010 have standard setting of posting to same bin, which is ok in case 321/344 etc.

But because I have to move stock from 1 EWM sloc/St type to another EWM/St type sloc, I need to change bin in IM_PC transaction. But because of 4010 setting I can't do so.

Please suggest how to manage this scenario.
