Production source validity not respected in IBP for inventory

Hello Experts,

I am trying to model an supply chain scenario using Production Source validity master data. With Inventory Optimization run the master data setting with regards to validity master is not respected. I did check on SAP note 2971323 (IBP: Using Validity Dates for Sources of Supply in IBP for Inventory) and followed all the steps as indicated like setting time series indicator for both Production source and Location source master data, updating key-figures( production ratio and Location ratio) for the whole planning horizon duration and so on. Still I see with IO run the demand for the product is being propagated even beyond my “Valid To” date as maintained in the validity masters. Kindly share your expert comments on the same as how to sort out this issue ?

Hi,

Production Source Validity master data specifies the periods of time for which a production source of supply (PRATIO attribute) is valid.

To consider inputs from the PRODUCTIONRATIO key figure, attribute PRATIOTS in the Source Production Header master data type has to have the Required field marked.

Location Source Validity master data specifies the periods of time for which a location source of supply (TRATIO attribute) is valid.

To consider inputs from the LOCATIONRATIO key figure, attribute RATIOTS in the Location Source master data type has to have the Required field marked.

Validity dates for sources of supply have an impact on sourcing ratios, lead time, lead time variability, propagation of demand, and demand variability.

Make sure the above settings and run the IO operator and revert me if any issues.

Hi Lingaiah,

I had done all the steps as indicated by you but still the demand is propagating behind the Valid To date. As indicated earlier, I had followed the step as detailed out in SAP note 2971323 (IBP: Using Validity Dates for Sources of Supply in IBP for Inventory) ,i am unsure as what am i missing ?Any other suggestions ?
