Production order reservation still exists after TECO

Hello,

There are many production orders that have been technically completed (TECO) without the consumption of some materials. These components have been deleted from the production order components list.

However, even after the production order is in TECO status, the component reservations still exist.

Could you please explain why this happens? Is there a way to delete the reservations automatically when the materials are deleted from the production order or when the order gets technically completed?

Hello

When you say that the reservation still exists, do you mean that you still see them in table RESB or are they still relevant to MRP?

If you try to delete a component from a released production order, it will not be deleted from RESB, but the deletion indicator will be set and they should not be relevant for MRP and you shouldn't be able to post goods movements. 

If you have already the component and they are still relevant to MRP, that means, you can still see it in MD04, then it might be an inconsistency. Check KBA 2504955 - Inconsistency in MD04 for instructions to fix the issue.
