Offsetting component planned order with respect to header planned order.

Hi Guru,

System is SAP APO PP/DS.

Bom Header X

Bom component Y

X planned order start date: 10/10/2014    -    End date  15/10/2014

Expected Y planned order end date 6/10/2014. Instead of 10/10/2014 (as per standard system behaviour) - offset by 4 days

We are using PP/DS optimiser.

I want to know how can we model the master data with which we can ensure that components are always available X days before the required date as per the header planned order's start date. Basically the client wants to build inventory of the components to be consumed by N number of days.

There are several options that I have tried but unsuccessfully :

Safety time: Optmizer does not respect safety time. Also there is a setting but that will be applicable to all. So not a desired option.

BOM component lead time offset:  Somehow PDS is not picking the lead time data maintained in the BOM in ECC. When a planned order is created for Y, ECC yes it ends early (based on lead time maintained), but APO doe snot respect. No impact in APO

GR time: Planned order start date is moved and not the end date. For example is I maintain 5 days of GR time for Y, lead time 1 day so system will advance start date by days and will make planned order start date for Y as 5/10/2014 instead of making planned order end date a 5/10/2014.

any other suggestion:?

Thanks

Asim

Hi Asim,

Try what happens if you use GI Processng Time for your component Y. GI Processng Time is entered directly in APO MAT1.. in GR/GI tab.

Kind Regards,

Hi

Have you tried using operation lead time offset as -4 in BOM component it will come to APO PDS. leadtime offset is not integrated to APO. Operation lead time offset is integrated with APO
