In multi-resource scheduling scenario, planned orders are not getting shared between resources

Hi,

I'm facing an issue with multi-resource scheduling scenario. The planned orders are not getting shared between the resource when I run 'multiresource scheduling heuristic'. Can any one explain me what could be the possible causes for it and if any settings need to be maintained.

Please refer the above useful document.

Make sure you have activated business function SCM_APO_PPDS_PI.

Execute /SAPAPO/CDPS0 detailed scheduling planning board for Heuristic SAP_MULT_SCH

The "SAP_MULT_SCH" becomes available only after the business function SCM_APO_PPDS_PI is activated.

What error message are you getting exactly ?

If you get the following error "Heuristic Multi Resource Scheduling executed without result" then check if the OSS note "2173059" helps.

The error is : "no gap found for activity 84305|||T found with in planning horizon.

MSG NO. /SAPAPO/DM_SHEDFAIL044".

My planning horizon is for 600 days and maintained a break of 1 hr for resource. Also tried without maintaining breaks on resource but appropriate results.

In your scheduling board overall profile, check if the propagation range is set to "SAPALL" and try rescheduling again.

If not check  the activity "84205|||T" in the planned order and also what resource is it scheduled on.

I am guessing that this is the teardown activity and utilizes the same resource as the produce activity.

If it is a different resource then make sure that it has sufficient capacity to perform the "84205|||T" activity.
