How to prioritize the consumption from Location source of supply - TS supply planning Heuristic ?

Hello,

We are using the IBP S&OP module, and we are mostly using the Time series supply planning Heuristic S&OP Algorithm.

We have the location L1 (which is our main Contract manufacturer),which have a certain Production dependent demand for Component C1.

The Location L1,can get the Component C1 from many different vendors locations V1 /V2 / V3 in a certain long lead time and also from our main local hub Plant P1 (in short lead time).

Today, whenever we have INITIALINVENTORY (stock on hand) in Plant P1 we change manually the TRATIO(quotas) between L1 to V1 /V2 / V3 To ZERO (0) and between L1 to P1 we change it to ONE (1).

In general, the only way that I know that is available, is using the TRATIO between the different locations so the overall quota will exactly equal 1.

Is there a smarter/Dynamic way to prioritize the consumption between the different locations source of supply ?

You have to use different planning engine (Like finite heurisitc, optimizer) to achive this, with Time series supply planning Heuristic S&OP Algorithm. you have only TRATIO or Manual adjustment options only.
