There is not much documentation to create Custom Fields and Custom Logic which now have two business contexts relating to the Extensibility of Warehouse Orders:
- Warehouse Order Output Extension (/SCWM/EX4_OM_WHO_EXTEND_WO)
- Warehouse Task Output Extension (/SCWM/EX4_OM_WHO_EXTEND_WT)
The absence of documentation is understandable since the creation of custom fields and custom logic seem to follow the standard pattern. The problem I'm encountering however, is that I am unable to make the custom fields appear in any form using the data source FDP_SCWM_WHO_LIST_2_SRV, even after re-downloading the templates and refreshing the XSDs in the form template.
One thing I find deviating from the standard is in the Custom Field, there are no extensible objects listed under UIs and Reports, APIs, and most notably Form Templates. I would have expected the Form Templates section to at least list the templates that have FDP_SCWM_WHO_LIST_2_SRV as their data source. I suspect since I cannot select the form templates in which the Custom Fields should appear is the main reason why I can't find the custom fields in the XSD files of the EWM_PICK_LIST_2 and the EWM_WHSE_TASK_LIST_2 templates.
On the other hand, all custom fields created appear in, and are accessible from the ABAP Console for use in the Custom Logic implementation. It feels like I'm missing a step here, but I cannot think of what step I'm missing.
We have a handful of clients that could benefit from these new features. I feel I have exhausted all the configuration and activation points/methods that I can think of.
I'm hoping someone out there has the answer!
