Getting error "Physical inventory area for location of item 1 does not exist"

Dear Team,

I am trying to create a physical inventory document at the storage bin level for the warehouse process.

But getting the below error "Physical inventory area for the location of item 1 does not exist"

While I have maintained the configuration for the activity area (0010) and also maintained all configurations for storage type(0010) related to a physical inventory.

But still getting error.

Assign Physical Inventory Area to Activity Area

And also not able to assign the PI type and activity areas in the storage bin

So, need your support to close this issue.

Hello

Activity area won't be assigned in storage bin manually. You need to do sorting first in transaction /SCWM/SBST then it will get updated automatically in /SCWM/LS03.

As mentioned by Juergen and Deniil, if you are not able to sort in /SCWM/SBST then you need to check the customizing if sort sequence is defined for your activity area and activity INVE.

Also, PI type and count date will be updated automatically once PI process is processed. You can't update these details in storage bin manually.

Hi,

you have not sorted your bins for the activity area. Well, you do not show if you have defined the sorting in customizing, but if there is nothing in the bin, then you have definitely not done the sorting itself.

Hi Akhilesh, as Juergen said, I just add some details> try with /scwm/sbst with activity area 0010 and activity INVE, if system wont generate sorting you need to check customizing:

• SCM Extended Warehouse Management
• -Extended Warehouse Management
• --Master Data
• ---Activity Areas
