Error Full-HU needs a post-HU

I have a problem with a customer and feel helpless. I have to either pick full HU or pick from a storage type "free storage".
Full pallets was easy, but picking was not.

An experienced consultant then told me I had to set the value "3" in the "HU Picking Ctlr" field in the storage type. Previously I had the value "1" there.

Now the warehouse task is created and a post-HU must be entered.

I suspect it is due to the value "3" in the storage type.

I am really unsure how to set the system so that I can enter both full HU and picking in the storage type?

Unfortunately I haven't found a blog about this on the internet, and my EWM book doesn't help either.
Does anyone have a document that describes how to set the EWM?

I would be very grateful if someone could help me.
