Hi,

while running product heuristic for a follow-up semi-finished product this messages appears:

Product xxx was not planned due to product interchangeability

Message No. /SAPAPO/RRP_HEUR703

Diagnosis

The system should execute procurement planning for the product xxxx that belongs to a supersession chain. However, products in a supersession chain must always be planned together and in the sequence specified by the supersession chain. The heuristic call or the heuristic that you have used is not suitable for this.

System Response

The system does not execute planning for the product xxx.

Procedure

• If you want to execute procurement planning for the product in the product view, you use one of the following options:

• Call up the product heuristic.

• Call up the standard heuristic SAP_MRP_001 under Variable Heuristic. Define in the settings for the MRP heuristic that the MRP heuristic should use the product heuristic.

• If you want to plan the product in the production planning run, you have to define a processing step using the MRP heuristic. You have to define in the settings for the MRP heuristic that the MRP heuristic should use the product heuristic.

the phase-out date for the "old" product is 20.4.2022. but there are many dependent demands for this "new" semi-finished product, no time fence is used. So all dependent-demands before 20.4.2022 remain uncovered and the MRP creates all planned orders first after that day. why? this should not happen.
