Ariba buying catalog load limitaion

Hello Experts.

we are working on Ariba P2O implementation, where we want to bring the Material from S4 Hana to Ariba with contract as a Catalog(full/Partial). the mail challenge we are facing is we have huge number of material(1.5M) and 150 plants.

we are live with 9 plant and already facing the performance issue and also maintenance challenges. not sure if we go live with all the plats how system will behave, We also got replay from SAP the are not sure how much (Partial/Full) catalog we can load when. we are looking for some good solution which can be adopted here.

Any suggestions are welcome.
