Universal ID - when will it be as universal as the name would suggest?

Today I got an error message when logging on to SAP Community. I deliberately selected my S-user and was told that I couldn't access SAP Community with that user. Naturally I switched to my P-user, which is the one I normally use in SAP Community.

However, when I need to look at a SAP Note the fun begins. Since my P-user and S-user are now linked via the Universal ID it isn't a far stretch to assume that I would be able to use my S-user credentials to look at the note. However, that is definitely not the case. Since I am logged in to SAP Community the SAP for Me site opens with the P-user credentials which doesn't let me look at any Notes.

User Acceptance Test result: Failed

Now to the actual question:
Apart from using two separate computers, has anyone found a way to live with SAP Universal ID without their hair, whatever is left of it, turning grey?

FWIW I use one browser with my P account and another one for my S account.. not ideal for everybody but it sits well with my choice to use one for mostly work-related tasks and the other for mostly personal stuff.

Also, hair is already grey 😄

Yes, I suppose using two browsers is what I will do as well.

Hello 414a7b9048984147a1cf5eb39d2f8690

You are right - Universal ID is just pretty much a cloud based password manager for SAP IDs. Hopefully all SAP services adopt Universal ID with time and allow seamless switching between P and S users. For now it is not possible. You need to logout completely from one service e.g. SAP Community and P-user, then log on again to SAP Me with S-user to access the notes.

What works good for me, is to open SAP Community session in a private/incognito mode and browse notes with regular browser session. It is a lousy workaround, but it works.

Best regards
