Hi Champs.
I was reading Craig blog on No more t-shirt
/people/craig.cmehil/blog/2007/05/08/no-more-t-shirts
was wondering what the next replacement for tshirt would be for crossing over 250, 500, 1000 etc milestone..
Any guesses....
This might be a good coffee corner discussion.
Even speaking further about what milestones mean. I'm looking forward to crossing 4,000 points, for example. It isn't a formal milestone, but it is a personal one.
It's also interesting to understand what personal goals are "success" outcomes for participation. Hearing more about those. Do participants feel competitive? Are the numbers motivating? Intimidating?

like all people are not homogenous, motivation differ from people to people. Some are self motivated, some like praise and to some like kind/ reward.
What keep people contributing is they learn more when they contribute. Its liek more you share more you learn. SAP is an ocean. How much you draw its waters it will never dry.
but it requires rivers to get water back to it... (so if more people join this community its like more river contributing.).
Looking forward to hear other's story
I enjoyed your ocean analogy....and because Craig used the word ship in reference to the new recognition item, I also thought of ships on your ocean with different destinations and ports perhaps but sharing other basic tenets, beliefs and values. Oceans are also something that connect people in various lands. That's a nice image for our communities.

Hi Suresh, I hope that but saying 'gamer' your not saying that I'm a point hunter -:( Which I'm not of course -;) I also had some problems with one of my T-Shirts (The 2K one)....Gladly, they send it again so I wear it every weekend -:) (Not the same one....I got 1K, 2K and I'm Blogging this on SDN so I can alternate them)....
I still can't figure out what the new prize is going to be....So many possible products....
Greetings,
