Is anyone curating the featured content on SCN home page?

As we know, some content gets featured regularly on the SCN home page. It seems reasonable to think the featured content would be "recommended reading" (and I might be off here), but there was a case previously when a plagiarized blog was featured and the one running right now has only 3-star rating. So makes me wonder... Could someone please shed the light on how the content becomes featured and what is the purpose?

I asked and this before.

The SCN Space Editors help select content featured on the front page.

Maybe Marilyn or Audrey can offer more information.

Thank you, Tammy, Marilyn and Catherine for the replies! Glad to learn that it's not just a random pick.

Would it make sense to also reach to the space moderators for a quick check before featuring a blog or document? I can't imagine any of the ABAP moderators recommending the blog in question. I'm not actually an expert either, but we can usually get a better understanding from several opinions.

Also perhaps the content created by the members who recently joined or have little "track record" calls for a bit more scrutiny? Certainly we all have seen the new SCN members (or the ones who joined a while ago but haven't blogged before) creating great content, but overall, unfortunately, the lower quality content tends to originate from such members. (This is my own observation though, not supported by statistically significant evidence.) Just a thought...

As Marilyn and Tammy state, Audrey Stevenson, Talila Baron and I rotate curating content for the homepage.

I appreciate you pointing out that one of the blogs was not up to par. After further review, we all agree that it should be (and will be) removed from the homepage.

Thanks again. It's great to have such dedicated contributors who can help us weed out the sub-par content.
