Red notification mark not displayed for alerts in DM

Hello,

We face the following issue in SAP DM: an alert is created, the user received it but he doesn't see the red notification marking on the notification bell:

If he refreshed the browser page then it is displayed. But if he stays in the same screen without refreshing he gets no information that an alert was received.

Are we missing any setting? Has anyone else encountered this problem? The browser we use is Edge.

I am also aware of the beta release of the Alerts 2.0 which came by with the 2308 release, but we need the alerts fully functional until 2311.

Hi Andra,

this sounds like an issue with the Alert v1.0 service that customers are using today in production. Please create BCP support ticket such that our product support team can look after it.

Hello Andra,

your observation is correct. In the currently released beta version of Alerts 2.0 in-app notifications are not yet supported. We plan to add this prior to 2311 release of SAP Digital Manufacturing such that you can test creation and update of alerts 2.0 in your production process design including generation of in-app notification. Please refer to configuration guide attached to 2308 release note for SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP Note 3357013 (published shortly), which we will update once in-app notifications become available for alerts 2.0.

Thank you for the reply! We will set up Alerts 2.0 and test as well and we will be waiting for the in-app notifications functionality.

However, in the current Alerts version the in-app notifications are working for some users but not for all. Do you have any hint on why it is not working for everyone? Do we miss a setting?
