Quality Characteristics with local routing

Hello everyone

In SAP S/4 we have defined one or more Quality Inspection Characteristics to be recorded during a certain operation activity.

In SAP DMC I have defined the Master Material to use the "local routing" instead of the "ERP routing". Now my Quality Inspection Characteristics are no longer transferred to SAP DMC as I do not have any more characteristics that I can register in my POD.

Hi Thomas,

when you use a DM-local Routing you will lose the ERP-attached objects, e.g. Quality Inspection Chars.

If you have the requirement to use aDM-local Routing structure, but still maintain operations as configured and linked in ERP, you should look into the Routing Merge options: Order Processing Mode [Merge].

This in combination with the Operation Activiy mapping described in our parallel discussion about the BOM could help you.
