SuccessFactors Report Center - User Report Access listing

We are trying to identify which Report Center reports (canvas, table, tiles, dashboards) our end users have access to run/edit in SuccessFactors.  Unable to find anything anywhere to create this type of listing.  Does anyone have any insight into where we might be able to generate this listing?

Hi,

You can create a table report and report on RBP permission information.

Go to the report center, create a new table report and select RBP Permission to User Report. This provides a report detailing permissions and all users who have been granted these permissions.

To use reporting tools like Canvas Report, Table Report, Tiles, and Dashboard, you must have certain permissions. All necessary permissions are listed in the help article „Role-Based Permissions for Using Report Center“.

When creating the table report filter on Reporting Permission Name e.g. Create Report; Run Report; Canvas Designer to make sure that the report contains only reporting permissions.

The report also includes the user fields such as username and the name of the role that granted the permission to the user.

I hope you will find the comments helpful.

If you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me.

Best regards

Gloria

Thank you for the reply Gloria. I am trying to determine how to generate a listing of the exact report names themselves (ie...Open Requisitions, Employee Address Listing, etc.) that our end users have created & shared with other users in Report Center.

Hi BrentDoseck2, Thanks for clarification. To my knowledge it is not possible to create a report to identify the report author and check if the report has been shared with other Users, Groups or Roles. But you can create a report and can identify who has been running specific reports. So this implied that the report is shared with the users. In order to track who has been running Tables, Tiles and Dashboards at which times you can create a Table Report using the Report Execution Audit Domain or run Site Statistics for Canvas. Maybe that helps? When you want some more informations then please check out the SAP article: SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics: Story Report Design & Implementation Considerations. Page 6 Report Execution Audit Report. Best regards Gloria

Hi BrentDoseck2, I have good news for you. I currently joined the 1H-2024 release call and with this release you can use the new schema "reporting usage data" in stories for usage of reports in the report center. What are the benefits? You can identify the most used reports so that you can focus your efforts on maintaining these reports. Second you can determine the total number of reports in the instance and whcih report is shared with whom. Limitation: Usage data is available for table and Tiles & dashboards as now. And please keep in mind that the past 12 months of data for report execution can be reported on. This means if a report is not executed even once in the past 12 months, this execution data will not be available. I hope that helps. Best regards Gloria
