SAP SF Modules Configuration Migration

Hi All,

I'm new to successfactors and have been working as an HCM consultant. Spent sometime trying to understand the concepts. I would like to understand how are configurations that are done on instance recorded in SF (in HCM configurations are saved in TRs) and how is the configuration migrated from test/dev instance to Production environment (like in HCM list of TRs are transported to different instances dev/qas/production).

Is there a standard process for all the modules or differ from module to module?

Can anyone explain the process?

The instance sync feature should help migrating various items between instances (dev/qas/production). Take a look at: 2088055 - SuccessFactors Instance Synchronization Feature Guide & Need to Know Information

As mentioned in the above KBA some other items are not supported and can be migrated via the Configuration Center

Thank you for your response.

Can you please also let me know in what form the configuration in SF is saved? What is the collection configuration called? Like in HCM we call them transport requests.
