API doubts with SFAPI user to extract employee´s goal info

Hi,

We are trying to extract employee´s goal info. 

If we try to do this with a SFAPI user, we are getting an error. To get info without error, we need to put this SFAPI user as a custom manager of employee we are trying to get info.

This is a good practice? Or there is another method to get this info?
