Subscription creation issue from Solution Order

Hi Experts,

We are trying to replicate/simulate the solution order subscription line from S/4HANA Cloud system(5IK) to Subscription Billing however getting error "Contract accounts are marked as required in the subscription profile 'XX'. Provide a contract account for each item. Dont provide any payment details." As we are using scope item 5IK, the contract account is marked as mandatory in the subscription profile and accordingly the contract account is also maintained for the Business partner for which we are creating solution order. Looks like the maintained contract account from Business partner is not getting picked during the replication.

Can you please help here to resolve the error incase you have faced similar issue.

How are you? I have excluded the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud" and included the Tag "SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Service" for this question, as Solution Order is related to Service Line of Business.

Dear Jyoti,

unfortunately Solution Order currently does not support the handling of Contract Accounts and therefore cannot be used in case SAP Subscription Billing should be integrated with FICA (Scope Item 5IK).

This would be seen as a feature request within the S/4HANA Cloud Product.

The correct Session would be "SAP S/4HANA Cloud for Sales, public edition"

Dear Jyoti,

and just to briefly amend this: One possible workaround could be to create the subscriptions directly in SAP Subscription Billing by API or through the UI.

This way you cannot easily combine subscriptions with other types of products in one single order, but if you don't have requirements into this direction, this is the right option for implementation of 5IK.

One subsequent query how to get rid of the contract account validation error if we have a subscription product in the solution order "Contract accounts are marked as required in the subscription profile 'XX'. Provide a contract account for each item. Dont provide any payment details."

We have the requirement to combine in a single solution order however for subscription line we are getting the error ""Contract accounts are marked as required in the subscription profile 'XX'. Provide a contract account for each item. Dont provide any payment details." Is there any work around to overcome this error?

You can maintain the Business partner as SOLD to party in S4 Solution order to integrate with Subscription . Contract accounts are not yet supported .
