RE-FX Contract and FM Commitments

Hi Guys,

My client is a Real Estate company and we are implementing FM-BCS annual based budgeting in it. 100 Percent of revenue streams are generated from RE-FX . We have following contracts which yields generates revenue directly upon posting or subsequently through accrual deferral
1. Contracts with monthly cash flows which post directly recognize revenue upon periodic posting(RERAPP)

2. Contracts with long term leasing extending beyond one year and have rental spreading over years divided into quarterly, bi-annual or annual installment.

I have read SAP library and learned that RE-FX contract can create earmarked funds commitments

and I have activated RE_FM_EARMARKED_FUND and have done necessary customization (as shown in screenshot) for the contract type I am testing currently. In FMDERIVE I have activated FM "FMDT_READ_MD_RE_CONTRACT". I turn on trace and when I create contract and enter profit center and condition data, FM trace does not activate. Furthermore , when I create contract I do not see in commitment update despite of the fact that I manually entered FM account assignment in RECN as shown in screenshot. For the same FM account assignment I was able to create earmarked funds commitment successfully in FMV1 but through RECN contract it is not happening. If someone has worked on the integration of RE-FX-CN and FM-BCS then please let me know what I am missing.

Please note that RE_FM_EARMARKED_FUND requires activation of approval of contract through workflow which we do not, we just require that revenue commitment should be created when we create RE-FX contract.

Hi Guys,

Just to update forum, I was able to find out solution to the issue. We have to use settings Workflow for earmarked funds in Earmarked Fund related settings for Contract Type in REFX customizing. Doing so will not trigger contract approval workflow and once contract is created , based on the derivation rules, system will derive FM account assignments and will create an object for Funds Commitments and once it is approved using worklist then system will create Forecast of revenue commitments . 🙂

Hello, we have activated the Earmarked funds but still not able to derive the FM objects, any tips about this topic?
