FICA: Clearing off statistical items

Hello Experts,

We have a question regarding the clearing of the statistical items within FICA.

In our case a business partner has a statistical item op 1117,46

And for some reason received a (statistical) discount of -150 after the original item has been created.

Both Items have statistical key: A.

When you clear the two off together either using FPMA or FP06. You get the following:

Items are cleared off:

And on the Down Payments tab: (and this is where our question is about)

You get two lines on the down payment tab:

We are wondering a few things:

  1. Why if you clear off two statistical items with the same statistical key is the downpayment record created
  2. Why are the down payment created as real items in case of clearing off 2 statistical items.

From our point of view when you clear of a Real item and statistical this makes perfect sense because you need to wait for the Real document to clear it off agains.

In case of statistical the two down payment lines are not needed because the next step would be to always clear off the 2 down payment lines. This polutes the account balance overview in the end.

Is there a way to stop the creation of the 2 down payment lines in case of the clearing of two statistical items?

Thanks a lot for your support.

Regards Lukas

Hello Lukas,

In your case, although there are two statistical entries but the down payment is still coming as because the clearing happened through automatic clearing which creates a real clearing document. That's why two down payment entries got created with reference to the two statistical items.

Hello Rahul,

Thank you for the reply.

What i'm not sure about it; but it almosts sounds there is a different way to perform the clearing to stop the down payments from being created?

Is that what you are saying or did I missunderstand it?

Thanks a lot again,
