EPMContextMember shows hierarchical view of data instead of list

Hi Experts.

I am running SP19 and re-writing some of our report which failed to work when testing from our wider SP13 environment.

We have a problem with the most basic of EPM function...  A cell in the report contains the following:

=EPMContextMember(,"CUSTOMER","GROUP=SALES REGION;CALC=Y")

"Double Clicking" on this cell, should bring up a dialog box with CUSTOMER members to pick from, filtered by the condition where GROUP=SALES REGION and CALC=Y and displayed in a list.

However, the resulting dialogue box is displaying a hierarchical view (as below), of the entire dimension, not filtered list as requested

Weirdly, if I 'resize' the dialogue box, the view 'flips' to a list view as requested !!!?

The next strange thing is that these members do not become selected, when clicked, although the 'OK' button become available, and the member is passed back to the worksheet.

Has anyone seen this before ?  Any recommendations ?

Thanks for the reply Vadim...

It does work for us too at times but then suddenly switches back to the full hierarchy view without filtering or 'flattening'...

Can you think of anything cache related that might be causing this ?  We have an earlier version of the same report for which the problem is not present.

Just no idea, something is working incorrectly in the EPM code... But it's not possible to debug it!

Try to delete the folder PC_NW in My Documents...

And log onto BPC again.

If it is a cache issue, this will solve the problem.

Have a couple of things to try now...

One more question.....  Would there be any dependancy of a Server Service Pack level for EPM SP 19 ? We are running quite far behind at CPMBPC 800 0008

Can be, but to verify you have to upgrade core BPC
